The world has a bizarre history, beginning as a colony planet where a humanoid society sent their insane. Rocket Raccoon hails from a planet called Halfworld. Afterwards, Rocket Raccoon was seen only in occasional guest appearances before playing a role in the Annihilation saga and subsequently joining up with Star-Lord's newly formed Guardians of the Galaxy. In 1985, Rocket Raccoon starred in his own mini-series, penciled by Mike Mignola (who would later go on to create Hellboy). Rocket Raccoon was created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen, who drew inspiration from the Beatles song "Rocky Raccoon." Rocket made his first appearance in Marvel Preview #7 in 1976. Rocket will join up with Star-Lord and his Guardians, on the run from the agents of Thanos who are after Star-Lord's orb. In the upcoming film, Guardians of the Galaxy, he will be brought to life through CG animation and voiced by Bradley Cooper. Rocket Raccoon is gun-toting alien with a bad attitude. However, one of the most interesting characters in the film isn't quite so human-looking. After this, there is no difference between the two choices, other than small dialogue changes. The Groot they found was actually a shapeshifting creature, which leads them straight to Lady Hellbender and into the Dweller-in-Darkness boss fight. A short stealth section takes place in which the Guardians must rescue Groot. She takes Groot and the Guardians are given a room for the night, however, the only sleeping taking place is done by Lady Hellbender’s guards. Lady Hellbender offers enough credits to pay off the Guardian’s fine if Groot is chosen over Rocket. What Happens If You Sell Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Eventually, they escape the vault and reach Dweller-in-Darkness, the first boss fight in the game. They reach a vault with more than enough Credits inside to pay off their fine but are locked in while gas is released into the vents. Lady Hellbender calls her army upon the Guardians, forcing them to break the floor and traverse her fortress while fighting off swarms of her goons. Rocket is infuriated by her claim that he isn’t worth the Credits and doesn’t want to put his best friend in danger, so he does what all reasonable individuals would do. Lady Hellbender is amused by Rocket and finds him cute, however, she isn’t interested in purchasing him and deems him “worthless” and asks for Groot instead. What Happens If You Sell Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy Other than the gameplay sections, your choice does not affect the rest of the game, nor the ending. If you have already chosen, there is an option to change who you want to sell just before entering the fortress. If you prefer stealth and/or want to complete the chapter quickly, choose Groot. If you prefer action and/or want to gain extra experience to obtain Ability Points, choose Rocket. Choosing to sell Groot instead results in a much shorter stealth sequence that leads straight into the boss. Selling Rocket results in a combat section where you and your fellow Guardians attempt to escape Lady Hellbender’s fortress while fighting hordes of her guards through different levels. Should You Sell Rocket or Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy?Ĭhoosing to sell Rocket or Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy results in different dialogue, some different scenes, and, most importantly, a different gameplay section before facing the first boss.
